Bruce Robert Travis was born and raised on the Southwest side of Chicago, Illinois. Bruce's parents, a "mom and pop" team opened Travis and Travis Real Estate in 1955. Bruce's mother was the listor and Bruce's dad sold the listings. They soon became the #1 top selling real estate company on the S. W. side of Chicago and suburbs.

In 1969 Bruce got married, opened a "head shop" called "The Headquarters - An Exquisite Freaque Boutique" and was still playing in his rock and roll band called "The King James Version" which was one of the most popular bands in Chicago in the mid to late 60's. Their most unique "gig" was the Presidential Democratic Convention reception at the Conrad Hilton Hotel for Mayor Daley and Eugene McCarthy.
Bruce's dad convinced him to carry on the family tradition so Bruce passed his real estate salesman's examination and began his career in August of 1969. Bruce's parents taught him the business and soon he was taking his commissions and buying and selling for his own accounts.
The Chicago winter of 1977 convinced Bruce and his new wife of one year to head to Maui, Hawaii, get his real estate license and spend their winters in a warmer enviornment.
Having lived at Chicago's famous Lake Point Tower Bruce met many prominent people and kept in touch with them.

Private offerings: Just ask Bruce what commercial and hotel properties are privately for sale. He sold the Kihei Professional Plaza, Dolphin Plaza, Surf and Sand Hotel, Essex House , Kahana Beach Resort, the Coconut Inn which were not listed properties. He always has in his pocket apartment buildings, hotels, shopping centers, land , golf courses and more.
